Michael Canatsey is Principal and Founder of Michael Canatsey Associates, PLLC. In 1977, he collaborated with Edward Weinstein to establish Canatsey-Weinstein, a firm dedicated to designing custom residences across Washington State. Mr. Canatsey's professional journey includes significant experiences working in the Architectural and Urban Design Studio of Dolph Schnebli in Lugano, Switzerland, during 1970-1971. In 1972-1973, he served as a faculty member and assistant to the Dean of the College of Architecture and Environmental Design at the University of Colorado.
During the years 1974-1975, Mr. Canatsey played a pivotal role as a special architectural consultant to the City of Seattle's Department of Community Development. In this capacity, he collaborated on writing implementation Strategies and Design Programs guiding the restoration of numerous vintage buildings within the Historic Pike Place Market. Michael Canatsey Associates was established in 1984 and throughout the following 40 years, the firm has successfully completed numerous Residential, Commercial, Hospitality and Public projects throughout the world. Today, Michael enjoys spending time fly fishing on rivers, exploring and experimenting with his Art Drawings and continuing Architectural Commissions with select clients.
